Turkey weekend skiing 2009
We took advantage of snow and a few days off for Thanksgiving to get in some skiing.
- On "Turkey Day" we skinned up to Bradley's Meadow/Ramp with a large group (cowdog, Julie, Colleen, Steve, Suzi, Brian, Duke Brian M., and Greg).
- On Friday we skied the early season opening day (11/27/09) at Bridger Bowl, although nice also frustrating as everyone was funneled to one lift.
- On Saturday Julie and I skied with Collen and Steve and found a delightful 4 inches of fresh and more open lifts/terrain. We ran into Derek and Erin and skied briefly with them.
- On Sunday, Brian and I hit the slopes. Later that day I mounted some Freeride AT bindings for Derek, supporting his fall from tele grace into the darkside of AT.
Overall, a nice skiing weekend. Some notes:
- New skis for cowdog, 186 Volkl Gotamas mounted with Marker Baron AT bindings. Great setup!
- New skis for julie, 166 Rossignol Voodoo Pro BC 110 with Fritschi Freerides. Yep, another great setup!
- After this blast of skiing, cowdog has 13 ski days so far this season.
